the mud houses of the Chinese village
All these houses are made of crackly mud
always with some painted chinese motives
or characters
some are little homestays
or tea shops
restaurants
all look very unique

afternoon on the hill top
temple spires on the edge of the forest
guardian on the way to the top, about 1500 m above
sea level
the town
with an airstrip right through the middle
almost sunset
changing colours
there seems to be quite a lot of young monks
they are having a good time
sunset at the lake
and night time
rain clouds steam
Mae Hong Son is very close to Burma, it looks like Burma
The temples, the roof the people
the buddhas too, have a Burmese style
a sweet emile
gentle soft expressions
halos of rotating flashing lights
and fairies in the garden
or are they dakinies?
on the road to Mae Hong Son
the mountain tops are covered in mist and the wind
is blowing cold
green fertile valleys
rolling forest covered mountains
the temple on the lake of Mae Hong Son
lotuses grow out of the mud, symbol of purity
calmness
everywhere are temples hidden
a small shrine under a bodhi tree
